Amazing storm photo

We had a quick, intense thunderstorm in Manhattan on Wednesday 7/18. A friend, [filmmaker Muffie Meyer] sent me the astonishing photo above. She also sent the story to the right, below, giving the photo's provenance:

There’s a pretty crazy storm taking place right now here in New York City. Former NFL linebacker Dhani Jones shot this amazing Instagram photo from a Delta flight at 10,000 feet that shows just how concentrated the storm is on NYC as it heads from Queens into Manhattan.
