Murray on RED [continued]

Hi Marie,
The Red Leaf fell a day after I photographed it. Thus Winter began as it was foretold. (If you live in NYC you know it did). Now for the first good snow.

The lake residents know that soon after the last red berry is eaten by a bird... snow will fall. That won't happen at least for the next few days. But the Cedar Waxwings are working on it.

But they are not alone...

This Yellow-bellied Sapsucker...

Is doing his part.
