Spring is in the air

Birder Fred Baumgartner writes on 2/7/12 [via NYSBirds]:

....in the past three days I have heard Northern Cardinals, Black-capped Chickadees, and Song Sparrows all singing. This is unremarkable in and of itself for early February, but only feels weirder because of the March-April weather.
